Rami Malek who act as Freddie Mwrcury

Rami Malek

He is an Egyptian-American actor who acted as Freddie Mercury.

He studied about Freddie thoroughly. For example,  Rami performed with four fake front  teeth as trademark of  Freddie. He said that Freddie had a complex about his teeth. we can see that he is occasionally trying to hide his teeth with his lips and hands.

Rami also said that when he made Mercury for the first time " I opened my eyes in front of mirror and I saw different person starting at me". Rami approached Freddie as much as possible with various elements such as hair, mustache and front teeth, but he couldn't be reproduced  Freddie's singing voice. that's why most of the performance is due to QUEEN's master or Canadian Christian rock singer, Mark martell's re-recording.

Regarding the challenge to this difficult performance, He said that he just wanted imitate that Freddie Mercury, he didn't want to mimic it. He understood what Freddie thought and how Freddie did it.  Rami trusted movement coach more than choreographer.  They said that they studied Freddie's habit, stuck to reproducing detailed actions such as movement of eyes, looking back, way of twisting the microphone, and reviving the living Freddie to the screen. approximately 50 hours for costume matching, Freddie's luxurious, gorgeous costumes were reproduced from thick bottom heels to toght costumes.
